United Way Front Line Fund
Military families are strong, but the stresses that arise when a family member is called upon to serve can be great. Sometimes these families struggle to manage the responsibilities of keeping a household running while coping with the emotional difficulties that accompany a deployment. Sometimes a little help may be needed to help a soldier reintegrate into civilian life upon returning home.
United Way of Northern New Jersey is here to help! United Way is working with a network of health and human service partners and military entities to increase community support for military families who are managing the “home front” while their loved ones are on the front lines serving their country. Together, we are working to make sure the community is fully prepared to support our local military families before, during, and after deployment.
As community members, the 98 percent of us not in uniform have an obligation to support the families of the two percent that do. Military families are strong, but their strength depends on the strength of the community; that strength depends on all of us!
