United Way of Northern New Jersey's free career coaching program provides professionals with an opportunity to learn techniques for success in the workplace and shares local resources for job training.
Meet Our Volunteer Career Coaches
Joshua Aaronson is an HR and Employee Benefits professional with experience in the health care, nonprofit, higher education, and corporate sectors. He works with individuals interested in changing careers and making other transitions.
Joanne Bowman is a human resources professional with corporate and higher education experience.
She is an expert facilitator and trainer who coaches candidates on professional and personal development. She has also written an eBook titled, “Transition with Grace: A Job Search Guide.”
Matthew Frankel is a communications professional with experience working as a Press Secretary on Capitol Hill and leading corporate communication departments for large media companies.
Laurie Kessler is a marketing, media, and entertainment professional. She is highly adept at assessing how candidates present themselves on paper and in person and can offer tips on how to put your best foot forward during a job search.
Kate Potters co-founded the Glenmont Group, an executive search firm, in 2001. She is responsible for leading the firm’s senior-level professional management searches for Marketing, Business Development, Human Resources, Professional Development, Finance, and Firm Administration positions.
Judy Scherer is a career counselor and work strategist who helps people in mid-career transition land satisfying jobs. She has special expertise in emerging occupations and co-authored a book on “The Geography of the App Economy,” cited by the White House for its excellent analysis of 500,000+ jobs.
