Trade another lunch meeting for fresh air, good energy, and relationship-building that feels natural.

Some events are easy to support. This one is also easy to say “yes” to.

United Way Honey Open is back and it is built for companies that want a fun, high quality team day out that also does real good. Think corporate outing and relationship building, with fresh air, great views, and an atmosphere where conversations actually happen.

Whether your team is full of regular golfers or includes people who have never held a club, Honey Open is designed to welcome all women.

On Thursday, June 04, 2026, Honey Open brings together philanthropic women and community leaders from across the region for an afternoon at Crystal Springs Resort’s Cascades Golf Club, surrounded by the Appalachian Mountains.

United Way Women United is proud to continue the legacy of Sussex County philanthropist and golf enthusiast Helen “Honey” Ackerman, supporting access to resources and opportunities so ALICE women and children can build better lives.

Participants can choose their own adventure

Option 1: Nine holes of golf

Option 2: Two-hour beginner clinic with PGA professional Mary Beth Kohberger

Then everyone comes together for dinner in the Grand Rotunda with sweeping mountain views and time to connect.

Why sponsorship is the move

Sponsoring Honey Open is not just putting your logo on something. It is a brand and relationship play that delivers:

  • A ready-made corporate outing

  • Visibility with the right audience, including key decision makers from Fortune 500 companies across the region

  • Connection that allows for real conversations over a few hours

  • A clear story your company can stand behind – you’re powering United Way’s work to close the gaps for ALICE® families and households in poverty across northern New Jersey

MEET ALICE

ALICE   is an acronym for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed, and represents the growing number of families who are unable to afford the basics of housing, food, child care, health care, technology, and transportation. These workers often struggle to keep their own households from financial ruin, while keeping our local economies running.
