The 2026 United Way Legacy Event brings New Jersey commercial real estate leaders to Whippany on May 8 for an afternoon of networking, recognition, and community impact. As the sole proprietor of Jenny’s Family Child Care, Jenny Kok is both the provider and finance department. Caring came naturally to her, and while she was skilled in finance, United In Care was able to give her business a boost.

Our latest ALICE research released today shows that across our state, nearly one third of workers in the 20 most common jobs – personal care aides, janitors, waiters and waitresses, cashiers, and laborers and movers – live in households that are ALICE or in poverty and are forced to make sacrifices just to get breakfast or dinner on the table.
