Eight nominees in two categories are finalists for Impact Award

United Way of Northern New Jersey will bring together hundreds of industry professionals to network and honor commercial real estate projects at the 23rd annual United Way Commercial Real Estate Network’s Legacy Event on June 2 at The Meadow Wood in Randolph.

The event will feature eight project finalists for United Way’s Impact Award, with winners announced in two categories. Both a commercial real estate project and an industrial real estate project that had the most positive impact in the region in the past year will be recognized. Finalists are chosen by the United Way Commercial Real Estate Network, a group of industry executives who partner with United Way for its largest annual fundraiser.

This year’s commercial project finalists are:

  • AT&T in Bedminster, 1405 and 1425 Route 206, Bedminster

  • Avis Budget Group & Gilead Sciences at LATITUDE, 369-399 Interpace Parkway, Parsippany

  • Fiserv Innovation Center at the Park, 100 Connell Drive, Berkeley Heights

Attendees will also hear from keynote speaker Ying McGuire, CEO and president of the National Minority Supplier Development Council. The nation’s largest nonprofit advocacy organization for minority business enterprises, NMSDC has helped these businesses achieve nearly $400 billion in economic output.

The luncheon will also see CREW NJ, an organization for professional women in commercial real estate, receive the United Way Spirit of Philanthropy Award. The award honors an individual or group from the commercial real estate industry whose actions reflect the values of United Way. Throughout its 40-year history, CREW NJ has fundraised for hundreds of charities and worked to address food insecurity, financial instability and domestic violence.

United Way’s annual networking and fundraising event attracts leading industry professionals. Since 2000, the commercial real estate industry has helped raise more than $4 million for United Way. This year’s Gold Sponsors are Alston Construction, Turner Construction Company and Vision Real Estate Partners.

Along with recognizing the industry’s outstanding achievements, the event also raises critical funds for United Way’s work across the region to improve life for ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) and households in poverty. Despite working hard, ALICE essential workers struggle to afford the basics.
