Meet Women United Member Casey Carpenter

Updated: Mar 5

When Casey Carpenter first ventured to start her own executive communications firm, she was living paycheck to paycheck. “Sometimes, I didn’t have money for food. Sometimes, I didn’t have money to put gas in the car.” She was part of a population we call ALICE, struggling to afford the basics.

With the generosity of her family and friends, she was able to establish Speak & Own It Communications. Now, she coaches other women on how to establish their own leadership styles. But Casey hasn’t forgotten the challenges she faced along the way, nor the many individuals who supported her. As a member of Women United, she is paying it forward, joined by other changemakers who also recognize the need to help families in crisis.

When women unite in purpose, we create meaningful change. Women United hosts engaging events throughout the year, offering unique volunteer and networking opportunities with the ultimate goal of helping ALICE families rise. Join one of our events by clicking here.

January Women United Trivia: What's a resolution Casey made in the past and stuck with? “I committed to fitness and healthy eating when I was in my 30s. It's a way of being for me.”
